I interviewed The Serial Hobbyist, Terry Thompson, about his article “Corporate America: The Biggest Pyramid Scheme in the World.” In this interview, we discuss Terry’s philosophy and drive in writing such a revealing look into his motivations to, “dig [his] way out of Alcatraz with a plastic spoon.”
I first got to know Terry a couple of years ago over the course of doing business together. I was contracted to craft specialty wood products for his company and we discovered that we both have a deep passion for woodworking. Fast forward to the interview, Terry’s view of wanting more out of life than a good job and a solid retirement is bigger than any spoon-fed dream, or hope of one day living off of a decent retirement.
